HIZ as part of the Vietnam network of IZs/IPs, was found in August 1998 on decision
by the Prime Minister.

• Location: HoaHiep commune, TuyHoa district, PhuYen province

• Scale:
  - HIZ 1: 101.5 hectares
  - HIZ 2: 221 hectares
  - HIZ 3: 448 hectares
   

Beside HIZ 1 there is a Residential Area attending to the IZ, with a scale of 134 hectares. 

• 8 km from TuyHoa town

• 4 km from National Highway 1A; near the junctions of National Highway 1A and the roads up to Central Highlands (National Highway 25, Provincial Road 645)

• 20 km from VungRo seaport, 40 km from VanPhong seaport, 110 km from QuyNhon seaport, and 100 km from NhaTrang seaport

• 2 km distant from TuyHoa airport, and 0.7 km from PhuHiep railway station

Objectives:
Drawing domestic and foreign investment capitals; creating jobs for laborers; applying new technological advances; producing export goods and high-quality consumer goods in displacement of imports.
