PhuYen province is located in the coastal South of Central Vietnam, about 550 km from HoChiMinh City and about 400 km from DaNang City, lying between NhaTrang City and QuyNhon City.

As a coastal province, PhuYen owns a great number of strong points for the sea-economic growth, such as breeding and catching aqua-products & seafoods, shipment, sea tourism, etc.; numerous advantages of agriculture and forestry; labor-force is plentiful and intellectual standards are higher and higher, low cost labor; roads, airport, seaport, telecommunications... are more and more upgraded, well-served for the development.

In realization of the guideline on industrialization and modernization, PhuYen has had a great deal of appropriate policies on mobilizing the interior force of the locality, and attracting exterior investment. The province has planned and constructed the three concentrated IZs with a scale of 1,219.3 hectares, including HoaHiep IZ (HIZ) (in the south of the province, near Vung Ro seaport and Tuy Hoa airport), AnPhu IZ (APIZ) (in the north of Tuy Hoa town), and Northeast SongCau IZ (NESCIZ) (next to Quy Nhon seaport).

Since the investment encouraging measures have been put into practice, up to now, HIZ has received 23 domestic and foreign invested projects broght about from various countries, APIZ has accepted 24, of which 2 projects are foreign-invested, and NESCIZ has drawn 21.
